Our Services

At Front Door Family and Youth Services, we offer a range of programs designed to address the needs of families and youth in our community. Our services include:

Youth Counseling Services

We provide counseling to youth and their families dealing with issues such as shoplifting, drug use, gang involvement, and other youth-related criminal justice problems. Our team offers guidance on the legal consequences, corrective actions, and support in navigating the justice system, including applications for legal aid or official pardons.

Court Diversion Program

Our Court Diversion Program focuses on preventing re-offending by working with youth involved in minor crimes. We develop individualized correction plans in collaboration with justice system authorities and provide ongoing supervision to ensure compliance and successful rehabilitation.

Family Support Services

We offer marriage, child, and spousal abuse counseling, conflict resolution intervention, and professional psychotherapy for victims of abuse. Our goal is to strengthen families by addressing the root causes of conflict and providing the support needed for healing and growth.

Advocacy and Access Support

We assist individuals and families facing disadvantages in accessing community and public social services. Our team provides one-on-one advocacy and assistance in applying for and utilizing available programs, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need.

Employment Support Services

We help tackle unemployment and underemployment in our community by providing employment counseling, job-readiness coaching, and connections to the hidden job market. Our services include resume-writing assistance and direct referrals to job opportunities.

Immigrant Settlement Services

For new immigrants, we offer orientation sessions on Canadian life and culture, information on available services, and referrals to community and government resources. Our goal is to help newcomers integrate smoothly and successfully into Canadian society.
